W. Kirk Sanders

Kirk Sanders is a lifelong citizen of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He graduated from R. J. Reynolds High School, North Carolina State University (B.A., 1992) and Wake Forest University School of Law (J.D. 1995). Kirk has been representing injured plaintiffs since 1995, including those injured in bicycle wrecks and motor vehicle accidents. In addition, he represents businesses with their formation, contracts, and litigation needs.

Kirk Sanders was the Assistant Editor of the North Carolina General Practitioner’s Guide to Business Law Manual (2010) published by the N.C. Bar Association. Kirk served as Chairman and vice-chairman of the N. C. Bar Association’s Small Firm and Solo Section (600 members). He also served as the chair of the N.C. Bar Association’s Chair of the General Practice Hall of Fame Committee.

Kirk organized and moderated 3 different Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars for the N.C. Bar Association.

For the year 2010-2011, Kirk Sanders was president of the Rotary Club of Winston-Salem.

Kirk Sanders enjoys owning classic cars. He has owned seven cars older than 1974. He presently owns a 1962 MGB and belongs to the Corsa Rossa car group. In addition, he has competed in numerous road rallyes, including the Great Race . The Great Race is a two to three week cross- country rallye for classic vehicles. In the Great Race he served as navigator to Dave “I’m With” Haverty drove the 1937 Ford Business coupe.

A member of the Home Moravian Church and Salem Congregation Easter Band, Kirk Sanders plays the euphonium horn, tenor part.

Another hobby is screenwriting. He has written a number of screenplays and one novel for pleasure.

Kirk Sanders participates in the Wachovia Garden in Old Salem. This garden grows heirloom vegetables and fruits that pre-date 1850. The produce is donated to Sunnyside Ministries of the Moravian Church and other charities.

Kirk Sanders is one of the founders and officers of Tommy Lambeth Charitable Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) honoring the memory of Tommy Lambeth by supporting sporting events for young children, including the Tommy Lambeth Basketball League at the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club.

Kirk Sanders is a founding board member of the New Winston Museum. New Winston Museum is focused on bring life and attention to the formation of Winston-Salem since 1849. In addition, he is acting chair of the technology committee.

Mr. Sanders is a landlord with rental and investment properties.
