Two tracts to be sold/auction on

June 14, 2014

10:00 a.m.

Location: At the properties on Phillips Road (Sandy Ridge, NC)

The two tracts:

Tct 5B- 6.583 acres along Snow Creek and Phillips Rd. (farmland)

Tct 2- House, shed, and 1.440 acres on Phillips Rd.

The survey of the two tracts can be seen at http://triadlawyer.com/2014/05/13/judicial-sale-of-land-stokes-county-nc/

The Commissioner is Frank Plunkett. Commissioner Plunkett told me an interesting story about another partition sale he's doing. The attorney said he's still trying to locate the wife of the deceased. Plunkett said "I found her. She's buried in the front yard with a gravestone."

This is an example of a partition sale. The person involved in this case died without a will in 1988. Yes, 1988. She had over 180 known heirs plus unknown heirs to. Estate of Minnie Price. The other tracts were divided among the known heirs. These tracts are being sold to pay expenses and put proceeds in trust for the unknown heirs.
