As a business owner starts out, it is a good idea to establish a business plan.
It's equally important to include legal planning in your planning.
Plan on meeting with an attorney to decide whether you should set up the business as a 1) sole proprietorship with an assumed name (aka D/B/A), 2) partnership, 3) limited liability company (LLC), or 4) Corporation (Inc.).
In addition, meeting with a CPA to discuss which entity you should choose, is equally important. Included in this discussion is whether you should file for S-Corp tax status. Consider your annual CPA fees. And discuss quarterly tax payments, sales tax returns, and more.

You will find that my fees are reasonable compared to Legal Zoom & that I get the job completed for you.
My clients that used Legal Zoom to organize rarely have completed the necessary documents they were given. This defeats the purpose and protections of a corporation or LLC. PLUS they don't get to sit down, face to face, with an attorney and get to ask questions.
My standard attorney fees for a basic LLC or Corporation are $300.00.
In addition, the Secretary of State's initial filing fees are $125.00.
If we get into shareholder agreements and additional documentation, those are additional costs. Further, if I get numerous calls beyond the initial conference, signing conference, and verification of information call, then we'll need to discuss extra attorney fees.
I look forward to serving you.
Kirk
